About the Treasure Hunt
This free activity is perfect for families with children and takes around 25 minutes to complete. The journey begins in front of the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) Šentjur and leads you through the charming old town centre. As you play, you’ll learn about local history, interesting events, people, and buildings.
The game is run through the free web app Pustolovščina.si. Simply find the signboard at the Šentjur TIC, scan the QR code, and your treasure hunt begins!
No Knowledge of Šentjur’s History? No Problem!
You don’t need any prior knowledge to take part. Clues, teamwork, and a bit of thinking will help you solve the tasks. And if you get stuck, the app will give you extra hints to point you in the right direction.
Complete all the challenges and you’ll uncover the hidden treasure of the Upper Square.
Getting to the Upper Square
The Upper Square is easily spotted from a distance thanks to the baroque Church of St. George.
Free car parking is available below the church. Take the one-way road between Gostilna & Catering Pri Katrci and the church. Or travel green. From the Šentjur railway or bus station, it’s a pleasant 15-minute walk. You can go along the main road towards the church, or take the pedestrian and cycling path along the Pešnica stream. Turn right behind the tennis courts onto a paved path through the sports park towards the roundabout, cross the road, and walk uphill past the primary school. Bicycles from the Kolesce bike-sharing system are available at both the railway and near the bus station. You can park your bike in front of the TIC in the Upper Square.
