At beautiful viewpoints across the Šentjur Tour destination, you can sit on the popular benches of love. Hiking trails lead to these benches, allowing you to combine a romantic experience with outdoor recreation.
Bench of Love on Rifnik Hill
At the top of Rifnik Hill (568 m), well known for its archaeological park and the ruins of a medieval castle, you can rest on a Bench of Love. It stands on the northern edge, where the main viewpoint is located. From here, you can enjoy views of Šentjur, Celje, and the rolling landscape of the eastern Celje basin. You can also clearly see the entire Pohorje range, the Kamnik–Savinja Alps to the northwest, and Boč and Donačka Gora to the northeast. Several well-marked hiking trails lead on Rifnik hill.
Bench of Love on Sveti Križ Hill above Planina pri Sevnici
Sveti Križ (Holy Cross) is a 730-meter-high hill above the village of Planina pri Sevnici. The Bench of Love stands in front of the bell tower of the Church of Holy Cross. This is an exceptional viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramas. A marked hiking trail—the Mary's Pilgrimage Route—leads to the hilltop. You can also cycle to the bench via the road from Planina pri Sevnici or from Šentvid pri Planini.
Bench of Love on hill Sveta Uršula above Dramlje
The Bench of Love on Sveta Uršula Hill above Dramlje is located by the Church of St. Ursula. From the bench, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the eastern Celje basin with the entire city of Celje, as well as the Kozjansko region, with Rudnica, Žusem, and the Bohor mountain range standing out. Several well-marked hiking trails lead to the bench, or you can cycle there via the road from Dramlje.
Bench of Love in Kalobje
The Bench of Love in Kalobje stands by the road descending from Kalobje towards Vezovje, opposite the Erjavec Inn. It is placed at a stunning viewpoint, with view opening towards the northeast. You can see the nearby Slivnica pri Celju Hill and, in the distance, the prominent Boč and Donačka Gora. A well-marked hiking trail—the Mary's Pilgrimage Route—also passes by here.
